The Costwolds is an official ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’ defined by its rolling hills or ‘Wolds’. The Cotswolds are home to quintessential English villages of honey-coloured stone, bustling market towns and scenic drives.
On this tour your chauffeur will take you through a range of hamlets, villages and towns such as Bibury, described by William Morris who was well known in the arts and crafts movement, as the most beautiful village in the Cotswolds and the 14th century market town of Chipping Campden lined with independent shops. Stop for tea in the coaching town of Burford. See villages where it seems like time has passed them by and take a short stroll along the River Eye through the villages of Upper and Lower Slaughter. Broadway and Bourton on the Hill are also villages that are not to be missed.
With so many places to choose from the hardest part of the day will be trying to decide where to stop for lunch.
A day in the Cotswolds is probably one of the most scenic and laid back days you can have on a single day tour from London.
